Once you’ve registered your domain with Namnix, you can easily manage it through your Client Area. This guide will help you update DNS, change nameservers, renew your domain, and manage other domain settings — all from one secure dashboard.

Step 1: Log in to Your Client Area

  1. Go to www.namnix.com/clientarea.php.
  2. Enter your email address and password to log in.
  3. From the main dashboard, click on DomainsMy Domains.

Step 2: Access Your Domain Settings

You’ll see a list of all your registered domains. To manage a specific domain:

  1. Click the Manage Domain button next to the domain name.
  2. You’ll be taken to the Domain Management page, where you can view and control various settings.

Step 3: Update Nameservers

If you want to point your domain to a hosting provider:

  1. Click on Nameservers from the side menu.
  2. Choose one of the following options:
    • Use default nameservers (recommended if using Namnix hosting)
    • Use custom nameservers (enter the nameservers from your hosting provider)
  3. Click Save Changes to apply.

Step 4: Manage DNS Records

To manually manage DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, etc.):

  1. Click Manage DNS or DNS Zone Editor.
  2. Add or edit the records according to your hosting or email service provider’s instructions.
  3. Click Save Changes after making updates.

Note: DNS propagation may take up to 24–48 hours to fully update globally.

Step 5: Enable ID Protection (WHOIS Privacy)

WHOIS Privacy hides your contact information from public WHOIS records to protect your privacy.

  1. Go to Add-ons or Privacy Protection section.
  2. Click Enable ID Protection.
  3. Confirm and complete payment (if applicable).

Step 6: Renew or Extend Your Domain

Renewing on time ensures you don’t lose ownership of your domain.

  1. From My Domains, click the Renew button beside the domain name.
  2. Select the renewal period (1 year, 2 years, etc.).
  3. Proceed to checkout and complete payment.

Tip: You can also enable Auto-Renew for hassle-free renewals.

Step 7: Domain Lock / Unlock

To prevent unauthorized domain transfers:

  1. Click Registrar Lock from your domain management options.
  2. Toggle the setting to Lock or Unlock as needed.

Important Notes

  • Always keep your contact email updated for domain renewal reminders.
  • Domain transfers require your domain to be unlocked and an EPP code from Namnix Support.
  • Allow 24–48 hours for any DNS or nameserver changes to propagate.
